The Events Visalia Foundation and the 2010 St Patrick’s Day Parade Committee is proud to announce Bob Cary as the 25^th Annual St Patrick’s Day Parade Grand Marshal.

Bob Cary has given so much to our local community, both personally and through his A&W Restaurant locations, which are proudly a family run business.

For many years Bob, along with his son Craig Van Horn, have been active:  planning, giving, and volunteering at several events including, The Visalia Waiters Race, numerous car shows, and the Visalia St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  The countless hours Bob has put in to all these events, his civic-minded leadership, reliable and honest business practices, aside from being a true gentleman and friend, makes him the perfect choice for Grand Marshal this year.  It was a unanimous vote and we are proud to honor this genuine leader of our community.

We invite you to join us celebrate with Bob on Saturday, March 13 2010 at 10:00 am. The parade route begins at Center and Willis, south to Main, then east down Main Street to Bridge then north to Center then returning to the Vintage Press. The year’s parade also marks the twenty-fifth year of the Visalia St Patrick’s Day Parade.  So start practicing your Irish jig and blarney jokes, dust off your shamrock shorts and leprechaun hat, and pucker up those lips, because on this day EVERYONE is Irish!

The 15th Annual Waiter’s Race winning stats are in, and what a great race this year’s event was! Restaurants from around Tulare and Visalia competed in a family-fun downtown event that drew a healthy crowd despite th 90+ heat. To see the stats, click here.
